The Atlanta Hawks
With an average team and an aging stadium, season ticket sales (the bread and butter for professional teams) were tough for Atlanta. But with a newly remodeled arena on the way, we imagined a fully immersive off-site Sales Center; every bit as exciting and technologically advanced as their future home would be—a firsthand experience designed to make season tickets a must-have for anyone lucky enough to get a look inside.
Time to see and be seen.
Watching basketball in the South is a unique, full, rich experience—the experience we built was every bit of that. Chock full of Southern hospitality and unexpected technological advances. I created or assisted in every touchpoint: from identity, physical experience, buildout, and digital expressions to the suites themselves; that were miniature inspirations to take buyers inside game nights to come.
Then it started rainin’ threes.
Starting with opportunities to explore memorabilia from teams past, visitors were then lead down a motion activated hall that amped up lights and sound for the big reveal. Inside, we created a Flashlight to the Future where guests could point towards the screen and reveal how the existing stadium would evolve. We also created a Projection Pit—a combination of wall projections and custom floor map graphics to give guests a full-sensory experience of what was to come.
But wait, there’s more.
As guests entered the true-to-life Conversation Suites, they were treated to the same top-notch service they could expect come game night, surrounded in what could soon be their very own seats for the season. Lastly, we created an anamorphic illusion for insta pics, that changed perspective wherever you were standing. Suffice it to say, quickly selling the vast majority of suites that year was not an issue.
